State Bank of India (SBI) recently published notification in it's website for fresh recruitment. Since SBI is expanding rapidly so they need more manpower and hence requires Probationary Officers (PO). It has acieved it's target of covering one lakh un-banked villages. State Bank of India (SBI) is also planning to raise Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 crore to meet it's capital requirements. Bank's Chairman Mr. O.P.Bhatt said that SBI will require around Rs 50000/- crore capital over the next five years. SBI's future is bright as it is growing rapidly and is the largest bank in India. It is going to foray into wealth management business and Life’s public offer is expected within the next 1-2 years. It's Associate Bank, State Bank of Indore may shortly merge with it.

Total Marks for SBI PO GD is 20 marks and Interview is 30 marks.
For SBI PO Rural it is 10 marks for GD, 30 marks for Interview and 10 marks for Experience.

SBI announces recruitment for the posts of specialist officers posts every year. Probationary officers’ recruitment in SBI is done in 3 levels. The 1st level of the selection includes paper like general awareness, quantitative aptitude, English and reasoning. Then whoever qualifies the 1st level has to proceed to 2nd level which has 2 sections. It includes objective and descriptive section. The level 3 includes group discussion and interview. Candidate has to score minimum of 40 % in general category in all the three categories. The final selection of the candidate is made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained.
