About IIT JEE

IIT JEE exam by IIT’s

The IIT JEE exam is a Joint Entrance Exam which is being conducted by IITs for admission to IIT institute in India. It is ranked among the top institute all over the world, the degree which is being awarded by the IIT has the most respected value around the world.

Every year IIT conducts IIT JEE exam to select those candidates who are eligible for the four year course of B.Tech, B.Pharm, five years of B.Arch and M.Tech which are offered in the IIT institute in Mumbai, Kanpur, Delhi, Guwahati, Kharagpur and Roorkee.

Students who successfully pass IIT-JEE exam can go for the following courses:

B.Tech 4 years
B. Pharma 4 years
B.Des  4 years
M.Pharm Dual Degree
M.Sc  Tech Integrated  5 years
B.T.ech 4 years
M.Tech Integrated 5 years

Eligibility:

Candidate must have passing certificate of 10+2 or any equivalent exam. Students who are from General/OBC category must score 60% mark in qualifying exam. While students those are from ST/SC/Physically Disabled have to score 55%. Candidates must not have earlier admission accepted by paying their full fees in other institutes which comes under IIT-JEE. Candidates who are appearing for this exam should not complete 25year on 30th September of the year.

Admission process:
Candidates, who want to opt for B.Arch in IIT Kharagpur and B.Des program from IIT Guwahati, have to clear the aptitude test along with the IIT JEE exam. Admission to the undergraduate B.Tech students and Integrated M.Tech programs where 4, 00,000 students appear annually and only 7,500 students get selected. Admission for most of the IITs is granted after appearing for written examination such as: GATE for M.Tech, JAM for M.Sc and CEED for M.Des. Other than these exams students who are opting for Ph.D program have to undergo personal interview and written test.
